1/4 down and 3/4 to go

Soldier Hollow
Beginning of the month we spent a day with my family up at Soldier Hollow on the tubing hill.
Must say it was lots of fun.
Brynlee absolutely had a blast and Ty and I truly enjoyed watching our little girl have this experience.
Neither of us had done it either so we really had a fun time.

The Goyls
City Creek
Ty had the great idea to 'hop' on down to City Creek to do some Easter shopping this past weekend.
Brynlee had never been so we kind of made a trip out of it.
The Disney store was the obvious favorite, we spent quite some time just wandering around in there.
The day wouldn't have been complete without a treat.
What better than some yummy, messy chocolate.
We sat by the fountains and Brynlee was about as mesmerized by the fountains as she was by her chocolate and M&M covered marshmallow.

REAL SALT LAKE
Aunt Meagan and Uncle Justin wanted to go to an RSL Match for their birthdays.
So we did the usual and hit up the Crown Burger and headed off to the game.
Brynlee, again, had never been to a game so we weren't quite sure how it was gonna go.
Luckily we got a picture before the game started because by a few minutes in, she was konked out on her Daddy's lap. Yep, she fell asleep and didn't wake up until a few minutes into half time. Even despite the dudes behind us with an air horn, she slept right through it.

She had fun after she woke up.
When RSL scored and everyone freaked out, she was a little startled.
It was a fun memory to make.

What happens when we do lots of new things and run ourselves ragged?
We sleep.
Even when our favorite movie is playing and Mom and Dad say it's ok to stay up.

Ty is still truckin' it in school and doing very well. He started Class #10 last week and I think he's half way through school. By this time next year we will be so close to graduation we will almost be able to taste it. I don't even know what life will be like to have my husband back instead of having to be quiet around the house while he is holed up in that tiny little closet of an office reading and studying.

I'm not even going to sugar coat it. I'm stressed about Brynlee's school next year. Two days a week will be crazy. (How am I ever gonna do 4 or 5 days?) How do parents that work full time deal with Preschool that is only half days? All I can do is pray that it will all work out. Having just finished Gordon B. Hinckley's Biography 'Go Forward With Faith', I know that it will do just that - It will all work out.

The year is a quarter of the way over and we have already met some of our financial goals for the year.
I only have one student loan left! Wahoo! Being less than 3 years out of school that is a huge accomplishment for us. We have really focused on trying to get out of debt and pay off as much as we can before Ty graduates so we can focus on just his school debt. We are being blessed and it's working out marvelously. There's no question that when you have a righteous desire and it's the Lord's will, a way is provided for you to accomplish things you can't do alone.

Yesterday I was thinking about how Ty and I will be celebrating our 6th Anniversary this year. I literally thought to myself, "Geez. I feel like we're just barely starting to figure things out." It gave me hope in believing that things only get better and that in another 6 years I will look back and say the same thing to myself. I hope that's the case because that tells me that things are changing, we're growing and doing new things I never thought we would do. It means we're learning.

For FHE this month we have really focused on teaching Brynlee about the Atonement and that's why we celebrate Easter. We had a triumphant parental victory when a primary teacher (also my VT sister) came up to us a couple of weeks ago after church and told us that Brynlee told the whole primary the story of how Jesus died.
Her version of the story up to that point goes a little something like this, "They put him on the cross and then wrapped him up. They put him in a cave (we have now since gotten her to say tomb instead) and then he was resurrected and went to go see Mary Magdalene."
A couple of people have told us about her story telling adventure that day.
Very proud mama right here!
I love her so much!

Happy Easter!

Brynlee is such a pretty little gal. That was very sweet to hear about her telling the story about Jesus' death and resurrection too. :)
