I Hope They Call Me On A Mission....

Watch out people of Brazil! Justin has arrived!

We sent Justin off yesterday. What an amazing last 3 days it was. He gave a great talk on Sunday, FHE that night was a tear-jerker and so uplifting. More tears were shed as he became a full-time missionary on Monday night and it was comforting to see him relax as we got to the airport and he met the other 2 missionaries who are in his same mission on Tuesday. I'm grateful I got to be part of his life thus far and for everything he has taught me. It seemed like just a few days ago we were all making fun of him for almost driving the car up onto the lawn when he was getting his license or watching him sprint down the soccer field playing for Taylorsville High School. He was ready to go and everyone could tell.

We had a chance to go down to Manti/Ephraim to help Kim move home at the beginning of the May. She has graduated from Snow with her AS and we're super proud of her! The endowed members of the family went to the Manti Temple which was a neat experience. They do live sessions only down there and I hadn't been to a live session since I received my endowments in the Salt Lake Temple. I'm glad I can go to the temple with my sweet husband and know that we are worthy to be there. The temple truly gives me peace and fulfills my faith that there is something else to this existence. It's not about this life really, it's about what we do here so we can be worthy on the other side of the veil to work miracles. That's where our life and our hearts truly are.

School is out for me, it's Spring Break (wouldn't think so because of the snow on Monday morning!). It's so nice to have a break to relax and get things done that have been piling up because school and family take up my whole life and I'm ok with that. 20 weeks until I am done and can take my national certification tests to get my license. I can't wait to start working and helping people. I aced all my finals and am super excited to learn what my other classes have to teach me.

Mother's Day was good. Nice to spend time with family. It doesn't feel like what I thought it would. I don't know if that is because of my situation or because I just had different expectations.

My birthday was on a beautiful Saturday this year! Oh the sun was so nice to me! This was the first birthday when someone asked me how old I was that I actually had to think about it... Ya and even after thinking about it I told them the wrong age. I'm not counting anymore. From now on I'm just going to say my birth year and leave it at that. It's just another day anyhow.

Brynlee is the CUTEST little girl! She gives kisses which really is just a good lick to your face. She does not like to be sitting or stationary. Always on the go so she is thinning out a little. Not quite the little chubster she used to be but the cheeks are still pinchable. She has a 'big girl' move now too. She clasps her fingers together and puts them as high above her head as she can, needless to say that her arms barely even go to the top of her head. So 9 months, 1 ear ache, 3 teeth and a big girl later she is the center of our world! It's a weird stage for me to go through now that she is growing and has been outside my belly about as long as she was inside. That will never happen again for me. I just hope we can figure out a way to get her some brothers and sisters.

In no particular order - Justin leaving, Brynlee, Kim's Graduation and misc pictures. Hope you enjoyed the update.

Waiting and watching Justin go through security.

Last family pic for awhile.

Giving Uncle Justin kisses before he leaves.
We went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner before we set Justin apart. She loved the saddle.
My husband is so fun!
This is what we find most of the time when we wake up in the mornings. Brynlee is such a restless sleeper. She no longer sleeps on her back but turns right to her tummy when we lay her down.

Kim's graduation - Elder Holland spoke. Me and Ty didn't go to the ceremony until after it was over because of Brynlee and the apostle walked out, not 15 feet from us, talk about having the spirit. You could feel it just as he walked by, so cool. Oh and I believe the gentleman standing in the background would be James, Kim's 'boyfriend' or something like that :).

Mike and Lindsay's wedding was fun. Victor I told you I got you and Lauri dancing on camera!

Easter Sunday

Thanks for posting the pictures Bree. Your little one is getting big. LOVE the picture of her on the saddle. That's cute! Sounds like your family has kept busy with alot of events going on.

Those pictures of Brynlee are adorable. She's getting so big!

The funny thing for me, about Mother's Day, is that when you're a mom, you don't really have the time to appreciate it! Peter was so cranky all day long that it was more like a test of endurance than a day of tribute!

They should start celebrating Mother's Day for girls once they turn 12 so that they have a few years to enjoy it without distractions! But my goodness, aren't the "distractions" (aka the kids) completely worth it? I think so!
