How exciting that I am officially a Licensed Massage Therapist! Wa - freakin - hoo! I now have a website stating most of my services, pricing, and hours. www.amtamembers.com/breethomas . Thanks again, everyone, for all of your support and encouragement! As for the business, I have 2 locations now. 1 in Saratoga Springs at 4 Corners Chiropractic which I absolutely love because I get to work with 2 great Dr.'s who are starting their practice as well and share my love of working with people and wanting to help better people's lives. It's here that I get the medical side of massage. My 2nd location is at Sweetest Thingz Boutique in Draper. It's the cutest little place! Not only do they sell the latest fashionable clothes, jewelry, purses, shoes, etc, they also have an Esthetician working there as well as being a hair salon they offer all natural body wraps as well. The women are so awesome to work with and they have such great prices on everything! I have been fortunate enough to start working with people who are just getting started themselves and can empathize with the difficulty of trying to build a clientele which is one of the hardest parts of being self-employed in a business that caters to the public. You rely on the public for your living! I know this will all pay off eventually and the goals I have set for myself are starting to unfold before my eyes and I am making my own future! How cool is that?!?
Brynlee Jade is 21 lbs and 9 oz. She is 31 inches long leaving her at 75% for height and 25-50% for weight. Tall and slender. As a normal 15 month old will do, she climbs on everything she can and has mastered the triumphant shout of victory when she conquers a new object! Something a not so normal 15 month old does that my little one loves to do is bang her head, PURPOSEFULLY, on everything. Like she's head banging, yes, it's hilarious to watch but maybe not so great for her brain! It's like buckin broncs for her head! We love her so much and she is starting to say words at random that no one has really taught her. Baby, Brittnee, and her favorite babbling sentence is Mimi, Papa, Mama, Dada, Mimi, Dada, Papa Mama, not really in that order but she just says it over and over. No more bottles for our little one either, maybe on occasion but the Dr. said it's time and she's not really interested in them anyways. We didn't protest because no more bottles for Brynlee means less dishes for mom and dad and more money in the bank since the purchase of formula isn't needed! She is our sugar on top of everything at the end of the day and we're so thankful to be her parents! We got so lucky!
Ty is starting school in January! Pray for him! Let's hope he really likes Surveying eh? I want him to be happy in his career so he can be excited about going to work and doing something that interests him. And hey, if he gets to travel on top of that, big bonus for him!
Not much else going on in the Thomas household (aka basement). We almost bought a house, which we would be moving into this weekend but it didn't work out. We also just pulled out of an opportunity to adopt 2 twin baby boys come March when they're born. It was a difficult decision that we took very seriously but through that experience we learned that Heavenly Father is mindful of us and is giving us opportunities to have a family. He hasn't forgotten us and although this experience was a lot more difficult than we thought it would be to have to make this decision it prepared us a little more for what will come at us in the future. We were very thankful to have been given the opportunity to learn and grow from and to experience a taste of what it will be like to adopt babies in our future. So maybe a lot has been going on at our house but that is life. Our story isn't much different than the next persons out there.
Caught in the act! He doesn't appreciate it when I take random pictures of him but I think it's fun!

She couldn't figure out her mittens. The hat, mittens and boots were all supposed to be for Christmas but I just couldn't resist the snow storm and the urge to make our first snowman!

Congratulations on being a licensed massage therapist! It's such an accomplishment.
I'm sure the Lord will provide you with many more opportunities to adopt. I hope you feel comfort in the fact that you followed the Lord's guidance for your family.
Have a very merry Christmas. You're going to have so much fun with Brynlee opening all her gifts!
I meant to mention this before, but Peter went through a head banging stage himself! I looked it up online and apparently, while not being super common, it isn't terribly uncommon either and plenty of kids do it for the adrenalin rush it gives them! That's my Pete! He's so passionate and dramatic. Now, if only the onlookers could understand this when they see him kneel on the floor and pound his head into the ground!
