We are officially on vacation! Brynlee is asleep in her pack n' play and we are relaxing watching t.v. with Ty's fam. I felt compelled to blog at the moment because it has been 2 really long days.
Thursday we were going to leave at about noon to stay a night in Nevada before heading on to California. While packing the truck, Ty noticed one of the tires was super low. To make a long story short, we took it to Big O and ended up replacing 4 tires and spending a few hundred dollars, many hours and running to the Dodge dealership for a lame lug nut to fix some calipers or something for the brakes. Quite the ordeal. After finally getting on the road we ended up in the parking lot at the Cookery Restraunt in Nephi because Brynlee had an absolute meltdown. Brynlee only cries if she gets shots, her ears pierced or something of the sort. She will fuss when she is hungry, tired or wet. She was crying so hard she was short of breath. My baby doesn't do that. (No sign of teeth for those of you who thought that). It was almost a breaking point. Wanting to go home Justin gave the obvious idea to give her a blessing. Literally 30 seconds later she was smiling and happy. The power of the priesthood! Nothing else to say. Proof is in the pudding people.
So being 5 or 6 hours behind schedule it was so awesome that we took the wrong exit on the freeway and ended up making almost a 40 mile off course detour in order to get to our hotel at what felt like the wee hours of the morning. Brynlee didn't want to sleep so I was up until 2 Pacific time, 3 MST and she decided to wake up at 5:30 PST.
But hey, we're spending Valentine's Day in Cali! The weather is nice and we will be going to Disneyland, the Happiest Place on Earth, and the beach with my honey... ah... toes in the water, toes in the sand. Brynlee in a cute little swimming suit and hat. So much fun!
As for stuff going on back home... Speaking of home we now live with my parents in their fabulous basement. It's nice to have a change of scenery but we miss our ward and the Swensens. Hopefully we will be able to get into a place that we can call our own home!
I aced my Anatomy and Physiology Midterm and have registered for my full time semester and couldn't be more excited to start school!
Anyways, I'm on vaca so I'm going to relax!

Enjoy your vacation, you deserve it.
Congrats on your midterm!
We miss you in our old ward, but I can't blame you for moving. Sometimes, you've just got to save up your money!
Peter has a rough time sleeping anywhere besides his carseat and his crib. I've been scared to take him on a long vacation as a result of it. I'm so glad that the blessing helped Brynlee calm down so the rest of the drive could go more smoothly. I hope she sleeps better for the remainder of the trip so that you can too!
Enjoy Disneyland, the beach, and California!
So happy you made it safely. Bummer it took so long. Enjoy!
