1 pound and 1 inch

Brynlee had her 1 year appointment this last week. She grew 1 inch and gained 1 pound since her last appointment 3 months ago. Weighing in at 19lbs 8oz and 29in tall. She's a little skinny but definitely healthy and took her shots like a champ! What a precious little girl we have. So happy most of the time and very smart!

We went to Flaming Gorge over Labor Day. It was Brynlee's first time camping. She loved to pick up the rocks and drop them or hand them to me. It was so fun! We played in the trailer, ate cobbler, sat by the fire, ate the oh so yummy chicken dutch oven, played with Auntie Britty and Mimi and Papa. I have never seen so many stars in the sky, the first night we were there was so beautifully clear. We went fishing and caught a fair few and when we would show them to her she would just stare at the fish. It was hunting season and one of the nights, when I was wide awake, I heard a couple of elk bugles for the first time ever. Kind of creepy I must say but really cool.

This masterpiece of a fire pit would be a triumphant creation made by Ty. The fire is his favorite thing to do (and play with) especially when we're camping.

On Brynlee's Birthday - August 24th - I was able to be home and spend the whole day with her. We made pancakes which she had never had before and she loved them! We went on a walk, read her books, played and just hung out together all day.
She got to take as long of a bath as she wanted on her birthday!
My sister Tisha brought me a beautiful bouquet of flowers on Brynlee's birthday. It was a very bittersweet day for me. I'm glad it's over which is sad to say but hopefully, getting over the year hump will take me to a new step of healing in this process.
We took our time getting dressed on her birthday so she got to run around bare bottomed for a bit.
