Our Goings On & Thanksgiving Weekend

Life is good.
This little thing keeps us busy, young and laughing all the time.
She's a beauty and has stolen our hearts entirely.
Random pics to enjoy...

The typical red ball Target picture, "Mom take a picture of me," and hat day at school.

Love...

Mom and Dad are redoing their basement and asked us if we wanted their carpet.
Heck yes we do! So we spent a day and started with the downstairs family room. Since Grandpa is a pro, he brought his tools and jumped right in. It immediately made that room quieter, cozier and comfier. Plus it looks a lot better too. Super grateful and we had a fun time eating pizza and watching Grandma Cookie chase Toby around. It's always fun to learn how things are done too. I've never watched carpet be put in so it was cool to see.

Team Ashlee ~ When you look good you feel good. ~ Be gone! You have no power here!
Go. Fight. Win.
Really cool to come together as a family to support Ash and her little family especially on Thanksgiving. Knowing her situation and the battle ahead, it gives me (eternal) perspective and I have so much to be grateful for.
Family. Jesus Christ. Love. The Gospel. Agency. Health. Knowledge.
Knowledge that there's a plan for each of us.
That there's much to look forward to no matter our circumstances.

It's always neat to be able to provide Christmas for people that otherwise wouldn't have any.
I am reminded of how blessed I am that we have the means to help these kids that don't have the blessings that I do.

Over Thanksgiving weekend we got to watch the Williamson kiddos and Brynlee was so excited to have her cousins over for a few hours. Ty HAD to get his train out and the kids were enthralled.

*Notice the vacuum that Kingston plays with EVERY time he comes over!

The farewell.

These pictures were to immortalize our last family drive in the Mazda. She started having problems and we had to say good bye. It's amazing how much sentimental value we have with this car.
It was Ty's first car he bought himself and the first one we paid off together.
She was the car we dated in. I remember our first date and how slick I thought Ty was when he smoothly opened up the sunglass console on the roof and got his sunglasses out. (Nerd alert on my part!) That was back in her hay day. The day we got married she drove us away, (I'm getting choked up), we brought Toby home with her, many vacations were taken with this car and I drove her to massage school every day/night, plus she was with me when I started my business, taking me everywhere around the valley and further. Her trunk is to be envied! I could fit my massage table, bolster, massage chair, duffel bag and back pack packed to the brim with sheets plus sometimes I could squeeze some groceries in there too.
Brynlee was even attached and asked why we had to sell it.
At least I know she's in good hands for now. Mark is going to fix her up really nice and she'll be all spiffed up and ready to go to a new owner that will hopefully treat her nice and take care of her.
It was sad to watch Mark drive away with her but it's for the best.

Before we actually sold her, we had 3 cars! While short lived, that was definitely a first for us.

Here's the replacement. 2012 Toyota Camry SE. She's a beauty and has lots of gizmos and gadgets that are way too cool for me. Ty gets a little green sometimes because I am the lucky one that gets to drive her every day. Having a new car (she is new to us anyways) has given me a sense of pride and I've actually already taken her through the car wash and cleaned it. That is very unlike me. Hopefully she will run for many many years with no problems. The peace of mind is comforting to have a car that doesn't break down and die at random times while driving.
