Odds and Ends of Summer 2016

In an effort to try to catch up with the random stuff that went on this summer-ish... I give you our blog's longest post (maybe?). 

The only picture I got on the 4th of July. Well we have about 6 of this same picture actually. 

So I stole some from Auntie Tisha's Blog.

 

A family golf outing at Fore Lakes. One of Dad's favorites activities. Brynlee is so competitive that she starts whining cause she can't hit the ball as far as Ty. I feel the same way kid. 

   

 

   

Snuggles with Toby and I promise she's in her bed, you just can't see her under the pile of stuff!

 

Making homemade Strawberry Jam with Maga. We made Brynlee help this time and 'her arm was so tired.'

Mini Hidden Vale Falls hike - just me and you! Brynlee had been begging to go hiking. 

   

 

Just something about babies that we love. 

Had to see my beautiful Steph Steph and her cute little Grace Ann! 

 

Ty wouldn't let me put a grape plant in our garden. Eventually I convinced him to give up the fight and got one anyways. 

Best seat in the pasture for these girls!

 

I surprised Ty with a date to TopGolf. We both had so much fun. It amazes me how good he is with very little time with a club in his hand. Another golf date. I love going with him. Even though I'm no good. I love watching him golf, it makes him so happy. I also took him to FastKart Speedway. It was fun but I'm terrible at driving fast apparently. Ty almost lapped me. Also, I was almost too short and had to use this back booster pillow so I could reach the pedals. Lame! 

   

 

Grandma Cookie wanted Grandpa Donut to play croquet. Grandma threatened to hit him with the croquet stick, as you can see, he wasn't very happy about it.

Dodgeball!

Salt Lake Bee's and fireworks. Road Trax to the game. It was the 2nd inning and I was ready to go home. Brynlee ran around the field after the game was over. She thought that was pretty cool. 

 

Mom and Dad's property in Fairview. We spent a weekend down there this summer, tenting it, Ty hit a bucket of balls, I saw a real tick (vilest creature ever!) and did a fun puzzle. Saw lots of deer. 

Brynlee loved this movie! We love seeing movies together.

This is what happens when you lay next to your kid to play with her and you're too tired to keep playing. Then you're husband proceeds to take pictures and the dog could care less where you lay down as long as you don't shoo him away. 

 

 Just me and you kid. I love these days. 

We planted 4 tomato plants this year and they went absolutely crazy! Tons of tomatoes! Which means we did our own canning this year too. And sometimes that means one of bottoms of a jar comes off mid cooking!

  

 For some reason, Ty likes taking pictures of our corn stalks and our grass sometimes too. ?? 

We had lots of hummingbirds this year. 4 in particular that had a nest or two nearby. One of them was a bully and wouldn't let the others close to the feeder. Ty held the hummingbird feeder once and one came and landed on it while he was holding it. Pretty cool. 

 

  

Found myself a little table at a yard sale I can call a nightstand since I was still using an oval end table my parents gave me when we got married. I love it!
