These 2 are my most favorite people in the whole universe!
Being in our own place, we've had many firsts and the holidays are going to be the first of at least a few holidays in this little home of ours. We carved pumpkins for Halloween which Brynlee I don't think quite understood why it was ok to get dirty. She ate a pumpkin seed and didn't act like it was too awful so she tried eating more. Ty's pumpkin rocked yet again this year. Don't have pics so you'll just have to trust me.
Our little cowgirl. It took practice to get her to keep her hat on as long as she did. The makeshift belt shows off Daddy's Texas belt buckle which weighed just as much as she did but I couldn't resist. We figured out her favorite candy is a sucker. When she would get a choice of what candy to pick, it was always a sucker. Smart girl, suckers last longer than other candy!
I'm sure you all remember that first snow at the beginning of November, we got probably 5 inches at our house and I couldn't contain myself when I woke up Saturday morning. Despite wailing and gnashing of teeth, I put Brynlee in all the snow garb necessary to keep her warm. A picture says a thousand words, doesn't it?
The snow crunching scared her and she cried the whole time. The only enjoyment she got was watching me throw snowballs at our fence. That was pretty funny I guess.
We bought a 50' string of LED's for the house this year thinking we'd have extra, yep we did! Enough to double the lights back, the front of our house is almost exactly 25' across. Learning new things all the time, like how to hang Christmas lights on the house and how to keep a 2 year old from playing with all the ornaments on the tree! We had fun decorating it though. Our ornament for this year is a glass blown elephant we got from our trip to the zoo on July 4th.
This was taken just yesterday. Comfy? Sometimes she can be so stubborn about going to sleep.

Oh, the fun "first" memories are the best and they are the ones you will always remember! xoxo
We will need to do a family home evening one night and do dinner and watch a Christmas movie so we can come and see your decor :) Isn't having a place of your own THE best on the holidays? Love you!
I love first memories. I just did a similar post about new traditions. Aren't "first" the greatest!
Cute pictures. We are going to start house hunting in February or March. I can't wait to celebrate the holidays in a house of our own next year! I'm jealous of you. I love the Halloween costume. Little Brynlee just gets cuter and cuter!
