I'm ALREADY well on my way!
I'm 4 down on my recipes! 21 to go!
Today I made a Chicken Parmesan Slow Cooker recipe that looks yummy as I stare at it in the crock pot! I'll put the recipe at the end of the post if you want to make it. My sister Tisha gave me a recipe book for my birthday and I've got a whole list of groceries (things I've NEVER bought before) so I can make these new morsels!
The other recipes I've made that begun my new recipes are Meatball Sandwiches, Pulled Pork Burritos and Easy Chicken Bake (out of my new recipe book). They were all DELISH!
I've read one book thus far called City of Lost Souls #5 in the Mortal Instruments series! LOVE IT!!!!! Book #6 comes out before my next birthday so it will definitely be a good addition to the list! If you have any interest in drop dead gorgeous Shadowhunters (super humans because of mixed Angel Blood) who are sworn to protect the human race, vampires, werewolves, warlocks, faeries, angels, and demons then you will fall MADLY in love with these books!
I'm counting my first restaurant as Atlantic Cafe even though it was before my birthday because it was Mediterranean food and was completely and utterly TASTY! Since I had a Greek Chicken Gyro (pronounced yuro) I added that to new culture foods too! I owe that one to my lovely friend Erica who is the downtown restaurant Guru of ALL TIME in my opinion! (check out her blog www.landofsalt.blogspot.com)
Next GNO with Crystal and Erica - PHO! So excited!
I finished my Journal and will start my next one soon! It's amazing how much you change from page 1 to the end of page 240. When I went back to the beginning of this Journal after I finished I tried to imagine/remember the person I was when I was writing that first page. How little I knew about the person I would become in just 14 months. It's amazing how different one year can make some one change! These pics are what we were doing about a year ago when I started my Journal.
Eastering!
Our 4th Anniversary at Joe's. They made him propose again! We will be celebrating # 5 this weekend! One word to describe it.....
WOW!
Swimming at Mimi's.
Yard care with his new manly tools.
Just Mama and Brynlee being at home together.
My hair was short, Brynlee was so little and we've all learned so much about owning a home, yard care, and what it takes to stick together as a family. Next year I'll be looking back at the pictures we're taking now saying, "If you only had any idea what you were gonna do this next year......"
As for my other goals I have tons of ideas! I've conned my Father into teaching me how to Fly Fish! So excited to try that one! Ty and I will be going golfing for our Anniversary this weekend so that'll be another check for the list!
As for my list of new dates: Color Me Mine, Racquetball and a concert! Jason Aldean was the last concert we've been to and I've been anxious to get to another one!
Suggestions are very welcomed in this area!!!!
I've talked your eyes out.
Peace!
Here's my recipe I made today as promised:
Chicken Parmesan
Ingredients:
4-6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
2 (10.75 oz) cans cream of mushroom soup
1 1/2 cups evaporated milk
1 cup apple juice
1 cup uncooked converted white rice
1/4 t pepper
1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
Place chicken breasts in the bottom of a greased slow cooker. Combine all remaining ingredients except cheese and pour over the chicken. Sprinkle with cheese over top. Cover and cook on low heat for 8-10 hours or on high heat for 4-6 hours.
Note: Watch cooking time so rice doesn't become mushy.
VIOLA! Easy enough!
