At first I was only going to post about Brynlee’s first day of school but I just couldn’t help myself while I was looking through our pictures. So I will be, once again, overloading a post with mounds of pictures and memories. (Since I'm so far behind)
As for the title of this post, I can’t even help wanting to cry when I think about the precious memory of my little girls first day of Preschool. In and of itself, going to your first day EVER of school is emotional. However, my little girls first day was emotional for me for a different reason....
Keep in mind that this is the first and LAST time I will ever do the first day of Preschool.
I think it’s safe to say I was holding myself together pretty well for the BIG DAY! Maybe I wouldn’t have even shed a tear. She did MARVELOUSLY! Being the youngest in her class I was amazed that she didn’t even make a fuss! There was a little hesitation but that quickly subsided and I waved good bye to watch her from the car. Before I left her on the front porch with her teacher, Miss Kris, and the other kids, a little girl named Leyla was crying. Brynlee was just watching her and as I got in the car to continue watching as long as I could, I watched Brynlee walk up to her and take her hand. Leyla stopped crying. They stood holding hands and walked into the house like that. I sat in the car and seriously pondered over that one little act. This precious moment I will hold in my heart forever! It showed me a part of my little girls heart and it has made me so proud! I can barely even think about it without tears coming to my eyes!
It turned out that the best part of preschool were the snacks according to Brynlee. We talked about her papers she brought home and she even got to ring the clean up bell. That was her job for the day.
I believe my little girl had a really good day at school!
I’m glad I decided to put her in even though she is so young.

Moving on....
**The Days of a Thomas Summer **
Ty and Brynlee's birthdays are always a good way to roll out of Summer. Being with family, getting overloaded with gifts. It's a good excuse to get the yard all cleaned up too.
Now don't judge me, you can laugh but don't judge, this was the first time that I have ever made and decorated CUPCAKES in my whole entire life!
I quite enjoyed it actually. It was fun to see what designs turned out and which ones were horrible.
Horrible looking or not, they tasted swell I'm sure. I also made chocolate covered strawberries to go with the Strawberry Shortcake theme. Brynlee is obsessed with Strawberry Shortcake.
Summer usually looks like this at our house.....
~Swimming so much Brynlee falls asleep in my arms~
~Playing so much she konks out where ever she is~
This summer was a special one because we have a new little man running amuck.
Tobias is a new addition in our lives and he makes us all so happy!
He's a miniature yorkie and we all love him!
Vacationing - another summer memory!
Colorado was a trip I will NEVER forget.
Aspen and Brynlee matched almost every day we were there, unplanned.
Everyone loves a parade! We were drowning in candy.
Mater in Monticello
Four wheelin' it up! She didn't want to get off them.
Horse ridin' it up!
Dirty facin' it up!
Wouldn't be vacation without injuries! I got a black eye which was AWESOME - just kidding, it hurt, I cried. I refuse to tell the story cause it was dumb. Dogs and me don't mix sometimes.
Colorado was the best few days of the whole summer besides our staycation for our Anniversary which was pretty fantastic too. We got sunburned, dirty, shot our guns, rode 4wheelers and horses, had yummy food, spent time in a beautiful place watching thunderstorms, went swimming in a freezing cold lake/pond and it was all a ginormous BLAST! It was a place I got to add to my list too!
Also this summer we rented a tent trailer and hauled it up to Mount Pleasant for the Dillon family reunion. The truck pulled it well and the first thing I did when we got home was hop on KSL to see if there were any good deals for tent trailers, we loved it that much!
The setup.
More summer swimming... Ah the water was warm too!
This is what Ty and Brynlee did the night we got home from the reunion. They made a horse corral from blocks and wrestled the rest of the night with Toby trying to get in the action.
Summer has been fun, can't believe it's over but we did a lot. Lots of projects around the house and yard, lots of learning new things and making memories.
