We Come Running - Wasatch Back

Under a pale blue sky....
We come running.
Actually, rain or shine or in the dead of night and cold...
We come running.

Jennie, Jessica, Lyndee, Lacee, Me and Bry

The fiery redhead who ran this for her little girl fighting cancer,
the animal because she kicked the trash out of Avon pass (a piece of my heart broke for her),
the Mama who put this all together and 'killed' her runs,
the inspiring one for running one of the hardest night legs EVER and navigating so we didn't get lost,
and the wildest blonde girl I think I've ever known and the life of the party.

I only knew Lyndee when this whole thing started.
These girls were all such a wild gang of crazies and I had sooo much fun.
Wasn't such a huge fan of the early morning drive up to Logan on Friday morning.
4am is a non-functioning hour for most normal people.
But with cheery smiles and a little bit of insanity this was us before the whole thing started.

Runner # 4
My legs were 4.3, 4.2 and 6.1 = 14.6 miles total
Leg 1 pace was 10:04
Leg 2 pace was 9:48
Leg 3 pace was 10:01

Sporting the Tinkerbell head lamp.
This night run was sooo beautiful underneath a Super Moon.
We had some fun super 'Moon' times the next day. Haha (Bry)

This pic was Saturday morning after a restful sleep at DeeDee's cabin and some oh so delish spaghetti that was lovingly prepared and left for us to gobble down at 3am.
It is AH-MAZING what a few hours of sleep in an actual bed, some real food, and a shower can do for the morale.

Last leg 6.1 with the first 3 miles losing over a 1,000 ft in elevation.
Almost stepped on a squirrel!
Ps - I killed this guy.

The whole team.
*~*It's Only Fun When We're Done*~*

I was supposed to play a soccer game after the race but Ty couldn't get to me because there was a diesel on fire up Parley's. I missed Kingston's b-day party because of it too. However, I wouldn't have gotten to be in this picture with these cool people.

Besides the memories that came from this I also got the best snack recipe!
It's out of this world fantastic and let's not forget that I do easy too.
Protein balls.....
mmm think I'll go get one from my fridge right now!
Tasty!

I missed my hubby and baby girl while I was gone for a couple days, but it's so much fun to make new friends and I've found that absence makes the heart grow fonder.

Both times I've done Ragnar I've gone with teams that I hardly really knew anyone.
Each time I've come away with really fabulous memories and new friends.
Carrying on the tradition....
Here's to Ragnar in Vegas baby!
Call me crazy.
