A Spoonful of Sugar

*~* Summer 2013*~*
Grand Finale

Every year we have a Family Reunion with Grandma Brown's side of the family.
This year was up at Jordanelle and Ty,
being the incredibly dare devil he is :) ,
let me talk him into trying to wakeboard.
IT WAS AWESOME!
It made me so happy that he tried. Even though we didn't have a whole lot of time (the sun was going down) and he didn't really have time to get the hang of it, I was beaming with pride. To see him step outside of his comfort zone and try something new was exciting!

Carrots anyone?
This wasn't even all of our 2013 carrot harvest.
Our garden provided lots this year!
Onions, carrots, squash, cucumbers, corn, cilantro, garlic, peas and more carrots!
It's always a good feeling to reap the benefits of your work.
Usually I kill anything I plant so it's really an accomplishment for me.

It wouldn't be a complete year if Tyler didn't incur some kind of injury
to one of his already messed up legs.

Mimi turned 50, even though you can't tell cause she doesn't look it.
All the girlies got together and we went to breakfast and got pedis.
Can you tell which foot belongs to which girl?

Tuacahn and St George last trip of the year.
On our hike.
The rocks needed to be put away on the shelf.

Maga and Papa treated us to Mary Poppins and Thoroughly Modern Millie at the Tuacahn this year.
We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! It was a much needed break and it was Brynlee's FIRST musical.
She loved it! Her eyes were glued to the stage until intermission where she soon fell asleep.
It was so fun to watch her eyes light up and watch the dancers and listen to them sing.
She was mesmerized and it was truly a joy to experience it with her. It sure puts things in perspective to try to see the world through her eyes and experience things like she does.
We did a little hiking and swimming while we were there and of course, shopping. We traipsed all over trying to find a boutique for Brynlee so I could complete her outfit for family pictures we were doing when we got back from our little getaway but there are almost ZERO of them.

One more amazing announcement for us!
In the 6 1/2 years we have been married, we have always had credit cards.
Yes, at times we needed them to survive and at others we didn't but we kept them anyways.
Well.....
On Halloween Day we paid our last credit card payment and are free of any credit card debt.
It is an unexplainable sense of freedom and liberation to not have that weighing us down.
I believe in being debt free and am so excited that we are on that path.
Along with increasing our fast offerings we increased our prayers to help us be able to live the commandment to be self reliant and to not have any unnecessary debt.
Heavenly Father blessed us.
Ty got a better paying job and
my business picked up almost immediately after increasing our fast offerings.
Sometimes all it takes is faith and prayers.
(a bit of hard work, trust and pixie dust too :) )
Next step, student loans.

So there it is. Our summer this year.
We can never get that time back and I think it was time well spent.
On to the Fall Season and the Holidays.
