April Showers Bring May Flowers

April

This month we enjoyed General Conference, a weekend down in Ephraim for Uncle James' priesthood ordination, our Ward Breakfast, Stake Conference and we got a new Bishop/Bishopric. We met our Trek family at a Fireside which was really fun and I celebrated a year post-LASIK which has been fabulous.

Easter....
Frozen, Frozen panties and egg hunts.

The girlies.... and Kingston.

This kid...
Firehouse Subs is always a good choice.
Funny faces and fish lips.
Brynlee's friend Tipton at Preschool.
Fences are pointy, I'm sure these won't be the first leggings to rip now that Brynlee and Lily climb the fence between our yards to play almost everyday. I actually found Brynlee outside stuck on the fence one day, her little bum hanging out because the crotch of her leggings got stuck as she was trying to climb back into our yard.

Sometimes she can be so naughty creative.

May

The month isn't over but with how much has been going on it probably should be. I don't think we can stuff anything else into the short 31 days of May. Alas, we probably will.
May started with our 10.6 mile Trek Walk with our Trek family. Haha that was an adventure and we were never more thankful for AC and a soft bed as we were after that walk.
Next we 'celebrated' Mother's Day. We really didn't do anything because Brynlee was super sick so we cancelled everything and just rested. I went to church alone which was fine but lonely then spent a few hours by myself at home while my two loves took a nap.
This was my Mother's Day. The kid was sick and Ty gave me the 'day off' and let me go to church.
When I came home this is what I found. I love these two. They are so much alike, even the way they sleep sometimes.
The day after Mother's Day, Brynlee's Program day, we kept her home from school and just rested so she could be well enough to perform. Her program was so AWESOME! She did even more AMAZING than we thought she could being sick and all! We all laughed and laughed. The kids were so cute, dancing together and singing. For an hour and a half they performed and hardly anyone missed a beat. Brynlee said her favorite part was when her dancing partner, Isaac, 'lifted her up'.
Program day. We spent the whole weekend trying to get Brynlee better so she could perform in her school program.
She was coughing so bad and almost lost her voice.
Her solos were Ariel and she sang a part in Zip-a-dee-do-da and danced and sang a whole bunch more.
It tired her out so much that she slept for 13 hours that night.
Brynlee's last day of school. I don't think she truly grasped the concept that she wouldn't be going back.
It was a bittersweet moment and I'm so glad we decided to send her to Preschool for another year.
She would do fine in Kindergarten but it doesn't feel right to send her yet.
Last day of school. The many faces of Brynlee.
She's grown so much. Her conversations are more fun and in depth, she knows what she likes and fights for it, her hugs and loves warm my heart. Our home would just be so different without her here.

As of the 18th I am the newYoung Women's President for my ward. Guess that keeps Ty off the hook from any 'big' callings for another few years. It's been an amazing experience thus far. In the few short weeks I've known, my testimony of the spirit and of prayer have immensely increased. My faith has increased. With God all things are possible and I'm grateful to know I don't have to do this alone, my Savior, Father in Heaven are just a prayer away and my sweet husband has already been a huge support plus I have fabulous leaders that have been called to help in this work as well.

On top of the new calling I tried to quit my job at the Chiropractors office but they basically won't let me. :) Life is full of change and it's really hard sometimes. But I'm starting to finally feel like a grown up. Maybe I'm a little slow to be feeling like this but I'm glad it's taken me this long. At the age of 27 that's plenty old enough to feel like a grown up right? I have been so busy that I think I wore myself out and I've been fighting a nasty cold/ sinus infection for over a week now. When it rains it pours but we always have the flowers to look forward to after the storm has passed.

Speaking of flowers, Ty will be done with school in 9 days. It's here. He will be free in just a little over a week. This change is exciting and one we've been looking forward to for over 2 years.

Bree sounds like your life has been busy but fun and full of adventures. I can't believe how much your little one has grown in a year. The starting and ending school pictures are fun. She got taller. I also think you will make a WONDERFUL YW pres. Those girls are really lucky to have you. I love checking out your blog and seeing what you've been up to. Hope June ends up being a little less hectic for you.
