Flaming Gorge 2015

It's Tradition!
Some memories worth booking:
-waking up to the worlds most annoying squirrels
-quote of the trip by Papa, "It's cast iron!" no duh Dad.
-getting soaked on the pontoon by the craziest lightening and thunderstorm
(the kids were a little worried and hiding under the chairs and I'll admit there was a point I think the adults were worried and wanted to hide under chairs too!)
-the kids had a 'bone hideout' where they stored their treasures including the bones they found
-forgetting the bread for everyones sandwiches while out on the lake and having to spend $8 for a pack of rolls to use instead
-staying in a tent with 2 little girls (imagine the giggles and fun!)
-the beautiful drive - not so much the construction
-talks around the campfire
-Dad's lame Galaxy song
-crescent dogs, waffle cones & stabbing myself with a kebob stick
-watching the kids explore, swim and catch fish in the kiddie pond @ the lodge
-head wreaths for the girls
-shooting the BB gun
-walking in the woods with Ty

These kids. Mc drove up with us and the girls just laughed and played the whole time.

Moose Pond

Caught the first one. 19" and almost 2'.
Needless to say I was pretty proud of my catch.
Plus I caught 2 more that were of eating quality.
When I was gutting them, one of the fish had a nasty yellow spot in it, almost like hardened pus. Nastiness.

This guy was in hog heaven. Gathering firewood, building fires, playing with a hatchet.
Caught a couple littles at Moose Pond. Saw an osprey dive for fish and I saw a leech for the first time in my life.

My whole world.

My people. Including the one behind the camera.
We need to master the timer so we can get us all in the photo at once.

Love the Gorge!
