We've been wanting to finish this room pretty much since the day we moved in.
With the prospect of having more babies, we figured we at least needed another toilet in the house (and maybe a mirror too!) So in May we decided we would start on it for our Anniversary weekend. Welp, not even a day into it we figured out we couldn't do anything without moving this lame toilet pipe. So it took months but we finally got it moved. TyTy (brother) came and spent pretty much an entire day helping us with it.
And so it began.
Framing, plumbing and electrical next. This was a tricky one for Ty. He figured out the framing and most of the electrical on his own though. Two outlets, two new lights and a new circuit. Plus moving the sprinkler electrical as well.
On to sheetrock. Ty loved this part almost as much as he loved the mud and tape part. Ha! JK! Luckily Daddy-o came to the rescue with tools and expertise for the mudding and taping!
Texture and Paint ~ Used the same color that's in our family room and it looks completely different.
Added both of the light fixtures back in as well and moved the third light fixture closer to the door.
Yay for the floor! Faux wood plank adhesive tiles.
Moulding, beadboard, caulking and more painting.
Toilet and Vanity!!
Cupboard and Crawl space Curtain (handmade by myself - don't look too close!)
For the record, I never thought I'd be so excited to get a cupboard in my entire life. It's the first time I've actually had a designated place to put 'laundry room type things'. We've been married 9 1/2 years, I'd say it's about time.

All the while this is what my family room looked like. Seriously I couldn't take the clutter much longer! We had to get it done enough to at least get some of the stuff out of there so we could put up our Christmas tree. This wasn't even the worst it looked. I had sold a bathroom toilet cabinet and a couple other things that this picture is missing. And yes... yes that's our deep freezer in my family room.
Drum roll please.......
Ta da...
*~*Before and After*~*
Makes my heart happy.
We spent so much time and learned so much.
I love working on projects like this with Tyler. It's good for us to work and learn together.
Ty has pretty much commandeered this room. It turned out beautifully so I can't blame him.
Couldn't have done it without the help of the dudes in my family.
They are probably just as relieved this is done as we are so we will stop bugging them with all our questions and asking for help!
