Day 1: Flying is always a good time with this nugget. We had a huge breakdown when we were packing before we left. Brynlee just HAD to bring Chubby ( a gigantic round stuffed pug) that literally took up majority of her suitcase. It was the end of the world we didn't let her take it. Let's note she didn't mention it even once the whole entire time we were there! The whole time, not one word about it after that huge fit. All because her souvenir she bought with her own money was an Eeyore that she slept with every night instead.
Walked to Downtown Disney from the hotel and had to go a different route because they shut down the route we took last year through the employee parking lot. Total bummer. We ate an early dinner with live entertainment and busted out some High Fitness with Tisha right by the restaurant. Can't help myself. Check out the face swaps of Brynlee and Mc. Ha!

Day 2: All Disney and all the things. Met up with everyone a bit later in the morning. These kids were all smiles. We jumped on Thunder Mountain first thing with hardly any wait at all. Brynlee wasn't a fan of Splash Mountain though.

Day 3: More Disney and some California Adventure. The Blue Bayou and Monte Cristo's (Mmmm). We had Blue Bayou reservations booked 89 days prior to this day and it was almost booked out. Sheesh. Crazy people! It was worth doing once. Guardians of the Galaxy did not disappoint! It was so fun. My favorite ride by far! Got to meet Tiana.

Day 4: Last Day of Disney and California Adventure. Dole Whips, more Guardians of the Galaxy, trying to be the next King Arthur by pulling the Sword from the Stone, tea cups, floating away with the Up balloons.
Riding the tram one last time.
Until next time Disney.
Day 5: The Aquarium of the Pacific. Watching the workers feed the seals and do tricks with them, stamping our brochures, touching the moon jellies, horseshoe crabs, and rays. Plus we watched a live show with a diver. He talked about personalities of fish and this one called bubbles likes to play in divers bubbles and gets mad at them if they don't blow enough of them. They also teach the manta-rays to touch their nose to a cone so they can be fed clams and some of the other fish caught on to that and started doing it too. The touch tanks are so neat, we love getting sea urchin hugs. We watched an octopus change colors and swim around a bit which was really neat as well. Our drive home was so cool, we drove over an island and through some towns I'd never seen.

Day 7: Back home. One of the worst parts of a vacation.

Other festivities and memories: swimming and hot tubbing at the hotel.
Buying my first pair of Stance invisible socks (they are heavenly).
Eating all the churros, pretzels, hot chocolate from La Brea Bakery, turkey legs, Macarons, Gingerbread men cookies, Monte Cristo's (can't be beat), cotton candy, caramel apple, cake pops, sooo good, plus the suckers everyday from the hotel.
Papa jumped out of the bushes to scare Brynlee one night on our way home, it worked but could've been a bad thing because we were on a busy road.
Another night on our way home Brynlee had to pee really bad so I ran to the hotel with her practically the whole way back. It's not a short distance but Papa was worried about us and tried to catch up with us to make sure we were safe.
Seeing the beach from afar while driving to LegoLand almost broke my heart. We didn't get to visit the beach at all. I guess that means we will have to go back just for a beach trip.
Ty got a bit sick while we were there so he was kind of miserable for part of the vacation. His throat and sinuses were struggling so he didn't sleep well either. Part of it could've been some smoke from the massive fires they had been having in Cali. We couldn't really see much but we knew it was there. He also forgot to pack his hat, he was so mad about it so we snagged him a new one and he was happy as a clam after that.
Watching the kids sit on the ground while waiting in line, passing the time by looking at their maps or playing games.
Brynlee went on everything and said her favorite rides were the Incredicoaster, Guardians of the Galaxy, Space Mountain and Thunder Mountain.
There was Christmas music blaring over the speakers the whole time and it made me so happy, Ty, not so much! He won't let me listen to Christmas music before Thanksgiving.
Such a great trip. Not sure what our next big trip will be but hopefully it's somewhere warm with a beach and I can swim in the ocean and soak up the sun.
