Christmas and the break

Brynlee's Christmas list:
We try to keep it to 4 things.... try.

Christmas Eve at Grma and Grpa Brown's.
Santa comes and this year he had a special book that when you opened it would glow. If the light was green or white you were on the nice list, if it was red you had to do something to get off the naughty list. So Ty had to give me a hug.

Mom and Dad gave you a desk. You were surprised. This isn't just any desk though. Grandpa Donut made it a long time ago and the next time they come to our house we're going to have him sign it in his perfect handwriting. That chair... don't worry, it was an adventure to find the right one. That one in the picture isn't it. We bought 3-4 chairs until we found the one that fit. A Nintendo DS was the other gift and it came with games, a case and some accessories. It already even had a scratch free cover with puppies all over it.

As per tradition, we ate cinnamon rolls, got ready to head out for the day to G &G Browns, then Maga and Papa'. At the Thomas' house we got a special surprise. A house paid for to spend a week in Disneyland the following October. It worked out that we were able to go to Grandma Cookie and Grandpa Donuts house on Christmas Day and meet up with most of the Lawrence Fam. They always wave good bye when we leave, someday I know I'll miss that.

Ending the day at Mimi and Papa's.

Papa reading us all a story about Christmas and the meanings of all the different things that came in our little treasure box Mom gave us.

It's always a long, humbling, fun day spent with family, lots of food and goodies, gifts of all kind, and making memories.

*~* Christmas Break*~*
We got started refinishing your desk right away. I taught Brynlee how to use a sander, she helped me paint, unscrewed handles and screwed new ones back in. We picked out pictures she wanted for the collage on the desktop. Kind of funny, but when we sanded it down, the blue underneath came out from a color it used to be and that was similar to the color we were going to be painting it. And P.S. that's the chair we ended up with. It fit, you loved it, done.

Traditional Thomas Christmas Break sleepover. Complete with games, jammies, and good times.

Making her pug pompom poof!

Brynlee came with me to High Fitness on New Year's Eve. She just sat there most of the time but did snap a few good pics of the group afterwards. Miss Sunny came to class as well and that was a real treat! Brynlee told me she felt lucky she got to meet my cousin.

Happy New Year's Eve spent at Grandma and Grandpa Brown's with the drawing, loud noisemakers, and food. I took a nice nap between the drawing and the countdown. I snapped a picture to immortalize the fact that Ty let Toby sit on his leg. He does have a heart sometimes. ツ

We also went to visit Grandma Thomas to tie blankets as well during Christmas break. Glad we have traditions that allow us to spend time with family.
