The Thomas 3

It's true! Me and Ty are expecting a new baby on September 10th (or round about there) this year! Yes it was planned but we patiently waited for 6 months after we had decided for some things to work themselves out before we actually started trying and we are lucky and grateful that it happened right away for us. 

We found out New Years Day, what a way to start off the New Year huh? To be honest, December was our first month trying and I didn't think it was going to happen because I had sworn to myself that I would intuitively feel different when it happened. How wrong I was and Tyler, before we found out, kept saying that he knew I was pregnant and we were going to be having a baby. I didn't believe him and after 3 negatives I had one test left and I couldn't sleep New Years morning so I figured I would just go take it. Lo and behold, it read positive, so naturally we went to the store and I think I took 5 more tests just that day. Well it's still true today and our little grape sized baby is about an inch long and has a strong heartbeat of 168 beats per minute. Mom says she is going to compare it with McKinley's heart beat to see if it's going to be a boy or a girl. I guess we'll see

A LOT of things are going through my mind right now. I think I'm feeling more overwhelmed than Ty but I'm the worrier of us both so that's to be expected. There is so much to do, physically, spiritually, etc. How grateful we are for this opportunity the Lord has given us to be parents. The fact that he trusts us both enough to raise this child and to try out best, WOW! What a blessing and responsibility! How inadequate it makes me feel but I know that's why we have our Father and Savior. They are and will always be there for us to turn to to help us fill the gap that we can't possibly fill without their help.

It will definitely be an amazing ride and we're so excited! Thanks to everyone for all the support that we have already received in the last few weeks! We are grateful for our families and friends and we love you all so-o much!
