Birthday Celebrations
Brynlee is 4.
Wow.
We have a 4 year old.
We sported the Minnie Mouse cakes this year at 2 different parties.
Ty is 29.
For Ty's birthday he took off work and we had a family outing to see Planes and slurp up a Jamba Juice. It's nice to be practically the only people in the theater.
This guy is so awesome.
He will be graduating in 9 months and we are both so entirely ready to be done with the schedule of our lives. Me working nights, Ty doing school til late, not getting a whole lot of family time other than weekends. It's all going to be worth it and without the work then there isn't a payoff. And he does work hard. That's for sure.
This little girl starts preschool this week.
She is going to Aunt Sandra's.
Apparently that's where I went when I was little too.
She is one of the smallest in her class of 20+ kids which reaffirms to me that we've made the right decision to hold her back another year from Kindergarten.
I had the realization the other day that if she would've been born when her due date was, we wouldn't have had a choice and she'd be 6 years old going to Kindergarten anyways.
I love this little Miss Sassy Pants.
Brynlee,
at your 4 year appointment you sat there like such a big girl.
The papered table apparently doesn't scare you anymore.
You weigh 31 pounds and are 38 inches tall.
Healthy as a horse.
You love to dance. Just yesterday in church you were dancing to the hymns.
All stuffed animals must be stuffed in every crevice as close as possible to you when you sleep.
Just recently you started saying you don't like the dark.
Having a shopping partner is becoming more fun now that you're older.
We can actually have conversations and I feel like my moments of intended teaching are actually being heard and sometimes listened to as well :)
Dress ups, jewelry and makeup of any kind - you are a girlie girl.
Your Primary teachers tell us that you always have a story for everything.
You are soooo excited to start school and make new friends.
I love your smile and how you love to play with anyone and everything.
You are so helpful. When I'm doing chores you love to help.
With the exception of picking up your toys and cleaning your room.
You do a decent job of making your bed but it's still a work in progress.
One pony tail is sufficient, just like your mommy's.
Headbands and leggings are the usual and you don't mind.
Dad and I were totally blown away that you can use chopsticks.
You always want us to take a picture of you.
One day you will make a very good little mommy yourself.
Your caring, loving, playful and creative personality continually amaze me and your daddy.
Love you little Princess. Can't believe you're going to be in your 2nd year of Preschool.
