January ended with a jaunt down to St. George with the Williamson's.
It was so nice to get away. Hope for warmer weather, clean air and a break from the melancholy of the worst month of the year.
We treated Kim, James and Leila to some Pizza Factory and played with Leila for awhile before we made it to the condo to 'settle' in for the night. All the kids just went cray cray and didn't stop playing unless we forced them to eat, bathe, sleep or go somewhere in the car! Tisha made me go on a morning walk with her and I wore crappy shoes so I got a blister (boohoo!). We went swimming at a cool rec center and Tisha had a cockroach on her face! (Yes, I am immortalizing this moment forever!) Brynlee doesn't like to do anything in the water besides just be in it. No playing or anything really. She's too scared. Red Robin, Freddy's and Enzo found his scream while we were down there haha! Collecting rocks with the three older children. The trip ended with some tasty crepes and we headed home in a snow storm seeing a few accidents along the way.
Super Bowl Sunday
We got to meet Jade and Cash. TyTy's girlfriend and her son.
She probably thought we were a little cray cray, which we are but we are excited to have them anyways!
Valentine's Day
Helping out with Brynlee's Valentine's Party was a highlight for me. I know it isn't every Mother's cup of tea but I truly enjoy being in the classroom with her. I love seeing her interact with kids her age. We don't get the sibling interaction at home so other than friends coming to play, I don't see much of her chilling with little peeps.
Among other festivities:
We trekked down to Provo with the W crew for the Provo City Center Open House.
Needless to say it was gorgeous and so peaceful. Just what the Dr. ordered actually. I love being in the House of the Lord. The love and peace I feel whenever I'm there, doing the right thing, is uncontested with anything else. And a small bonus, we finally found sectional at a store down there that will actually work for downstairs, since we've been couchless practically all month.
Here's the finished product after we got our new couches. I love how it turned out.
I was also able to go with some of my Young Women down to The Church History Museum. Highly recommend it!
