Brynlee Jade & Famale

'Famale'
This girl...
My heart.
Forever.
Left to right: Tyler, Bree, Brynlee and Toby

Happy Birthday my sweets!

7 year check up. You're still a teensy little thing.

Tryin' out the new bike. Took some coaxing to get you to be brave enough but you got it down pretty quickly. Using the brakes were a bit tricky though. Toby followed you most of the time and we were pretty sure you were going to run over him a couple of times but he got out of the way in the nick of time.

Ironically enough, you didn't crash while you were riding your bike, you crashed while you were running alongside with your bike, even after Mom and Dad told you to stop running. Hard lesson to learn.

First Show and Teach for 1st Grade. She was excited to tell everyone all about herself.

Coming home from school one morning we found a dried out dragonfly in our flower pot. It was cool that she was so interested in it and picked it up without being grossed out!

First front tooth down...one to go! She cried her face off! But she was brave and let Mama do it. Honestly, it wasn't entirely ready to come out and it took three tries. Being a Sunday night, we bribed her by saying the tooth fairy would bring her $5 if she pulled it out that night and that we could go to the store for FHE the next evening and buy whatever she could afford with it.

Shopping with a 7 year old was kind of a nightmare cause she wanted to buy everything and most of it was over $5.
Traditional Target ball picture. I wonder if she'll ever get too old to do that.
Singing hymns at church.

On the Monday starting the very first full week of school, you asked me if you could walk to school by yourself. At first I said no but I caved, trying to let you spread your wings and not get in the way. As we were leaving the house for me to watch you walk to school by yourself, you started walking away, before you got to the mailbox you turned around, came back to give me loves and said, "Mom, I'm kinda nervous." I offered to walk you to the crosswalk at the corner and from there you crossed with the crossing guard and ran around the school but not before you stopped to wave at me from across the road. I cried.
Interesting thing is, that night before bed, you had a melt down and said, "Mom, I'm not ready to walk to school by myself. Maybe when I'm in 2nd grade." You were crying and it made me worry but since then you hold my hand and won't let me leave you until the teacher comes to get you after the bell rings in the morning. I wonder if something happened or if this is just a stage but, my darling, I will hold your hand as long as you need/want me to. There will be so many days to come that you won't need me to hold your hand or walk you to school. There will be days where you don't even want me to hold your hand or walk you to school. So for now, I'll be there and I won't complain about it, not even once.

Pete the Cat project she won't let me recycle.

How in the world? She is propped up on my massage stool and her play grocery cart. I don't understand how she didn't fall but she was snug as a bug.

Cleaning the church ~ Proof that she reads her Brynlee books ~ Mesmerized watching Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory for the first time.

Mckinley's baptism. These two are the best of friends and Brynlee was so excited to see Mc be baptized.

2nd front tooth down! It was a battleground at our house for a couple weeks. We couldn't even look at you a certain way without you saying, "Don't pull my tooth out!"
Her smile was so snaggly especially ever since the other front tooth came out because it had free reign of the front of her mouth. The remaining tooth seriously stuck straight out of her face sometimes. We had family pictures coming up and it had to come out. She wouldn't let us pull it out like last time though, she didn't want to be expecting it. So the deal was that we would tie dental floss around it and when she went to sleep we would pull it out. Well.... Ty pulled it out once she fell asleep and she is the WORST kid to wake up! She is completely out of it and literally doesn't know what's going on. When we pulled the tooth out, she put her hands on her face and rolled away without making a peep. I had to forcibly roll her over and carry her to the bathroom because she was bleeding. Once we got to the sink the tooth fell out of her mouth and she cried and cried plus she kicked me really hard while Ty was trying to help me get her to the sink. As you can see, she was mortified at the beginning and all smiles by the end.

Running home from school. I wait for her at the front fence post and I LOVE to see the look on her face when she sees me and she can't even help but start running straight into my arms where I scoop her up and carry her into the house. You're getting heavy kid but I'll do that as long as you'll let me!

We went shoe shopping for Dad and it apparently was more than she could handle and was bored out of her mind.

Ha Ha. Love the tooth stories. Going through that with my son. Brynlee sounds like an absolute sweetheart.
