It's hard to believe this is even real.
It wasn't very difficult but I convinced Tisha to escape to Arizona with me over Mother's Day weekend (Friday night to Sunday afternoon) to keep me company and be my cheerleader while I certified to become a High Fitness Instructor. I felt bad that I wasn't going to be home Mother's Day morning but Ty told me to go and it didn't matter because we were coming home that afternoon to see our families.
IT WAS A BLAST!
Welcome to AZ. I was on such a High. Doing something big for myself to kick off my 30's. Oh yeah.
We rented us a purdy sleek, white convertible Ford Mustang and it was worth every single extra penny (they kind of tried to take it away from us and we got lucky and they waived a huge fee so we could still have it)! When I drove it I felt like I was gonna crash though! We stayed in a tiny Airbnb kind of in a ghetto part of town but it was perfect for a couple nights. Besides High Fitness shenanigans we visited some of Tisha's friends, hit up Joe's BBQ, Back Yard Taco, got us some Hurts donuts at like 11:00 at night and cruised the town topless. ツ
So glad this girl came with me. Wouldn't have been the same without her.
Saturday morning.... I was so dang nervous, didn't sleep great and couldn't eat much which didn't help me feel any better but it was ok. Armed with my Beauty and the Beast and my Strong as a Mother tanks Tisha got me for my Birthday, I stepped into that gym nervous but ready to rock it. Started the training with an Epic class and it was a packed, sweaty, more sweaty riot with Amber Zenith, co-owner of High Fitness, as our instructor and she was awesome. I tried not to over do it so I'd have energy to do High the entire day. We had a 1 hour break after the Epic class and I showered at the gym and dried off with the only washcloth I brought... Haha! Such a funny moment for me. Do what ya gotta do right? The rest of the day was a mix of exercise/High routines, sitting on a gym floor and trying to learn all the tricks of the trade. The song I was graded on was Flo Rida's Jump and it was the absolute last song of the day which only meant I was freaking exhausted. I got a 28/30 and couldn't be happier. I was marked down on my form for not keeping my knees aligned during some squat tuck jumps but, seriously I had been doing High Fitness since 11 am and it was like 5 pm so I was totally fine with that! I was so glad when it was over though. My legs felt like jello and needless to say I slept so dang good that night.
We didn't waste much time when I got back. That following Tuesday Crystal and I (mostly Crystal cause she's the party planner) had planned a High Fitness Birthday Bash. I did my best but had no clue what I was doing at first being up in the front of the class. It was a free class and we had soo much fun with everyone that came out to support us! What a fun way to remember our 30th birthdays!
