New school, new friends, new routines... new everything.
It's been a big change for our little family. Kids are much more resilient and Brynlee has really been a rockstar. She was hesitant at first to make friends and was worried about how she was going to do that. August 23rd. Her and I walked to school and she didn't want to go very far when she had to wait in line before the bell rang. When the 2nd grade teachers came out to bring in the kids, they did a little routine to get them to be quiet and I think it really calmed some nerves, for kids and parents. I was very very excited to hear how her day went. She loved it and said she loves her teacher, her favorite subject is Science, she loves story time, school lunch and said , "Mom my school is so cool! We have a buddy bench!" Then she proceeded to tell me all about it. She said she asked a girl to play because this girl was sitting on the bench. Made my Mama heart happy.
Ended the day with a little bit of puzzle time and friend time. These two girls have become such good friends and we are so grateful Kambria lives right next door. It's made moving to a new place so much easier to transition, having an immediate friend.
