Belle of the Ball

I told Tyler in October I had done something he wasn't going to like but I didn't care because it wasn't about him and he was going to do it whether he liked it or not.
I bought tickets for him and Brynlee to go to a Daddy Daughter Dance. Umm... he didn't talk to me much for a couple of days after I said that but I didn't mind because I knew this was important.
The night of the ball arrived and I did Brynlee's hair, let her wear some makeup which she was ecstatic about. I made Tyler pick her up at the door, put on her coat (which I might add, Brynlee thought this was super weird and awkward) and off we went to the Williamson's. I made sure to tell Brynlee that her Dad needed to open doors for her and be a gentleman. She thought all of this was kind of funny but really I want her to know how she should be treated when she eventually starts dating. This is a good way to start.

Auntie Tisha made so darling tie on ribbon corsages that we had Ty and Mark put on their girls.

Off to the Ball.

The girls danced the night away.

They did some crafts, ate some goodies and danced.

Each girl got a rose and everyone got a mason jar with their names on them. The corsage is tied around the vase as well.

Now I want to clarify that I have never forced Tyler to do something that he didn't admit was worth it or fun after it was over. This was no exception. He came home, albeit glad it was over, and said it was good they went and they had a good time. Brynlee thoroughly enjoyed herself. I was happy they made the memories and to have a night by myself!
